Udom's Signature Projects Proof Of His Capacity, Administrative Acumen - Aniekan Uko

s described signature projects embarked upon by the State Governor, Mr. Udom's Emmanuel as a pointer to his capacity to deliver on set goals and targets giving credence to the mandate that was handed to him by Akwa Ibom people.

The lawmaker while making remarks recently during an oversight visit to three projects said that the projects potrayed a governor who was result oriented and a go getter.

Rt. Hon. Uko who heads the House Committee on Special Projects , Monitoring /Implementation and Aviation Development described the level at to which was was was done at the 21 storey building also known as Dakada Towers, the Ecumerical International Worship Center and the International  Terminal of the Arc. (Obong) Victor Attah Airport as very impressive while also commending the supervising Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Okpolupm Ette for ensuring that the contractors stick to details and delivery timeline.

The House Leader, Rt. Hon. (Sir) Udo  kierian Akpan who is also a member of the committee, in his comment thanked the Special Duties Commissioner  for effectively supervising the translation of the Governor's dream into  reality and urged that the tempo for completion should be sustained. 

On the strategy to be used in making sure  that the state gains from the huge investment as advanced by the member for Ini State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ekoenyong, the Special Duties Commissioner assures that as we speak 90% of people that will do business with the edifice has already indicated interest. 

"I can assure you that the demand for the Dakada Towers for business has reached 90% which we are even pleading with them to keep calm for a thorough finishing to be done. 

On his part, Rt. Hon Usoro Akapnusoh maintained that the building should facilitate the much anticipated relocation of Exon Mobil to the state. 

Kufreabasi Edidem who reptesents Itu State Constituency in his submission  advocated for the development and training of our youths  to prepare them in having a vital positions and maintenance of Dakada Towers and other projects when the expatriates leave.

Responding, the commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Okpolupm Ette explained that the Dakada Towers has 100 years guarantee and that the tenants to occupy the superp edifice are already  90% on ground. 

"Dakada is the tallest in the downstream  of the Nger and everything is intelligence. The Governor was right in conceiving this project"he maintained. 

The committees next point of call was the Ecumerical Intetnational Worship Center where they were  received by the supervising Commissioner, Arc. Ime Ekpo who took  them round the 8.6 hecters and 5,500 capacity seaters worship 

Arc. Ime Ekpo who briefed the committee that the altar will be the tallest  in the entire structure also assured that at present work is 35% in progress with a fast paste for advancement. 

At the International terminal of the Arc. (Obong) victor Attah Int'l airport, the committee were received by the Special Duties Commissioner who was flanked by the Permanent  secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Uwemedimo Udosen who is also the Director of Implementation. 

Intimating the people, the Permmanet sect. Briefed that the terminal when completed  will undertake both International and Domestic flights. 

The terminal is situated on a 23,OOO Square meter, 183 lenght and 177 weight with four(4)escalators that envisgae one million passengers in ten years.
