Senate 2023: Aniekan Basssey's Base Swells As Uruan South-EastT Zone Lends Support

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the South-East Zone of Uruan Local Government Area have reiterated their support for the Senatorial bid of their son, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.

The stakeholders made this known on Thursday during a solidarity visit to Rt. Hon. Bassey at his Osongoma residence, Uyo.

They also donated campaign materials including customized Fez Caps and T-shirts to Rt. Hon. Bassey

Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey is the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and 2023 PDP Candidate for Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District.

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils

The State governor who communicated his request for the House Resolution dated 6th May 2024 drawing strength from Section 5 sub 2 of the Local Government Administration Law pleaded with the lawmakers to heed to giving the resolution to extend the tenure of Transition Councils as the Commission responsible for conducting elections require an extended time frame. Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into deep mourning and grief as the wife of the State governor has passed away.
