CONSENSUS CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE: EASTERN OBOLO MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS, POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS UNITE FOR HON.(ELD.) BLESSING ERASTUS

Our  quality attention has again been drawn to another last minute desperate  and fruitless efforts by  drowning politicians to spread false narrative regarding the support base of Hon.(Eld.) Blessing Erastus.

In a publication contained in an online edition of THE IBOM INFORMER,it is alleged that stakeholders have rejected the choice of Hon(Eld.)Blessing Erastus and made a demand for the unconditional bail of Mr.Evans Eribo, the outgoing chapter chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Eastern Obolo

For the records, majority of the  relevant stakeholders with substance, capacity and integrity are solidly united in their support for the choice of Hon.(Eld) Blessing Erastus because of his pedigree, maturity, experience and clear vision and blueprint for the rapid and even development of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area.

The whole world is invited to note that a few stakeholders claiming to have rejected the choice of Hon.(Eld) Blessing Erastus are politicians who had captured the treasury of Eastern Obolo Local Government Council for their personal aggrandizement and had attempted to negotiate their normal business with Hon.(Eld) Blessing Erastus, who completely turned them down.

On the unconditional demand for the bail of Mr.Evans Eribo, it is highly contemptuous for anyone to attempt to intimidate a Judge by making such spurious and ridiculous demand over a criminal charge pending before a court of competent jurisdiction. For the avoidance of doubt,Mr.Evans Eribo is standing a criminal trial alongside six other defendants in a capital offence of murder at the High Court of Justice, Uyo in charge number,HU 64C/2024.lt is a case of murder of one Mordecai Ukoima in relation to the operational expansion of Sterling Exploration and Energy Production Company Ltd and has nothing whatsoever to do with politics or the age-long chieftaincy tussle in Okoroete.

Hon.(Eld ) Blessing Erastus is not sponsored by Pastor Ukafia or Hon.Selinah Ukpatu but remains the popular choice of the grassroot, that have been deprived of visionary, purposeful leadership and development for decades now.

We hereby urge the general public to ignore this latest misleading and diversionary antics of a few self-centered and greedy people who do not mean well for the peace and development of Eastern Obolo Local Government Area

Signed by

Mr.Lysius Ekiket

Director of strategic communications.
