LG Elections: Eunice Thomas Purchases Forms For Female Candidates, Task Them To Be Bold, Courageous

 




In a clear display of partisanship and desire to ensure that candidates of her Party, the All Progressive Congress(APC) emere victorious in the upcoming Local Government elections, the Executive Director in the NNPC, Mrs. Eunice Thomas today doled out financial support to enable candidates especially the female folk across the State including all candidates from Ibeno to  purchase forms from AKISIEC.


Making the donation in a brief ceremony held at Vinpy Hotels, Mrs. Thomas charged them to be bold and courageous knowing that they have the trio of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and his wife as their backbone while also advising them not to limit their campaign scope, be courteous, exhibit friendly attitudes and not ceasing to pray.


"I appreciate you for daring to contest. I have come to campaign for you and stand by you through the Grace of God, I'm confident that you will attain success. It's not a do or die affair but give it your best run. Set out your goals. Don't tell electorates too many things so you don't turn a lair.  Even if it's one item agenda, stick to it so you can deliver on getting into office".


Also making remarks, the representative of the State Chairman of APC, Dr.  David Umoessien thanked President Tinubu for finding their daughter fit to occupy the position and also rained encomium on the Senate President for the recommendation. While also thanking Mrs. Eunice Thomas for remembering women of the Party at times like this tasked the candidates to go all out to the nooks and crannies to talk to people seeking for votes come 5th October 2024



"This will not be like the last election and will be a test run for what will happen in 2027. I believe that our showing will be grand and an eye opener . Our Male conterparts should not relax but should equally work hard while also keeping tabs with what's happening at AKISIEC. We thank Mrs. Eunice for being a giver and following the footsteps of our Eka esit mbom. 


Also speaking, Mr. Samuel Thomas husband to Mrs. Eunice who was on ground to lend support to his wife tasked the candidates not to look down on themselves because they can be whatever they want to be through dedication and hardwork.


Not able to hide their joy and responding on behalf of the women,  Uwem Udosen from Ikot Abasi, Alice Robert from Ibeno and Aniema Frank expressed happiness for the massive support from.Mrs. Eunice Thomas which they noted would go a very long way to help them actualise their aspirations. They assured her that they will continue to support leaders of the Party even as they will return back to their various Units to seek support.

About 50 women contesting for coumcillorship and chairmanship positions were beneficiaries.

Financial Impropriety, Abuse Of Power: AKHA Receives Petition Against Ikono Chairman

  The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today during Plenary received a petition against the Council Chairman of Ikono, Hon. Otobong Essien, where the Councillors have accused her of misconduct in the discharge of her official duties.
