Interpretation Of Govt Vision: Drillers Honour Akan Okon, Advocate Deep Seaport Realization

The Akwa Ibom State borehole Drillers Association of Nigeria honours the Commissioner for economic development and Ibom deep seaport, Mr. Akan Okon today in his office.

President of the association while presenting the plaque this afternoon lauded the focused and commitment of the Commissioner in interpreting the lofty ideas of the Governor into reality.

"You are one of the few Commissioners that has worked assiduously to interpret the vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel, that, we have seen in the realisation of Ibom air, and we are very sure that Ibom deep seaport has already come to fruition, continue with your good works.

The Commissioner in his response gave thanks to God almighty the giver of everything and Governor Udom Emmanuel who has done creditably well, "You have seen industries spring up in the last four years and still counting, this is to proof to Akwa Ibom people that Governor Udom Emmanuel wants us all to earn a living instead of begging for living, Ibom deep seaport you have just mentioned is very dear to the Governor that is why you hear him talk about it always, apart from that, he has made sure funds are made available for the realization of the project for the benefit of not just Akwa Ibomites and Nigeria but Africa as a whole while turning our state into the economic hub in sub Sahara Africa.

The project is waiting for the necessary approvals from the federal government and I'm sure upon swearing in of ministers, it will kick-start.

Being recognized as a patron by a Nobel organization of this magnitude, It means I have to do more,if I have been noticed and rewarded with the little I have been able to do, it means I should do more.

Let's keep this interactive  spirit at all times,it helps public office holders to sort problems.

Thank you for your kind words, Continue rendering good service to Akwa Ibom people and keep praying for our governor to succeed".
