Professionalism, Patriotism Panacea To Civil Service Advancement As Aniekan Bassey Decorates 7 Aviation Security Officers From Uruan




Civil servants in Akwa Ibom State have been urged to be patriotic and professional in their service to the state.

This call was made by the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey while playing host to newly promoted Aviation Security Officers attached to the Ibom Airport Development Company Limited, who called on him at the Assembly Complex.

Rt. Hon. Bassey maintained that for the state to make appreciable progress under the Udom Emmanuel-led administration, civil servants must take their work serious, get themselves trained and retrained to learn new work skills that will enhance their productivity.

He also called on the workers to display high level of patriotism by loving Akwa Ibom State being the only state they can call their own.

 While congratulating the newly promoted Aviation officers, the Assembly helmsman urged them to contribute their utmost to the development of the state-owned aviation company noting that the Udom Emmanuel led administration has made giant strides in the aviation sector being by making Akwa Ibom the first state to float an airline.

Earlier in his Speech, the leader of the delegation, SASS Edet Uduak, thanked the Speaker for playing host to them and for finding time to decorate the newly promoted Aviation Officers in their new ranks.

While congratulating the Speaker for being elected to the position of Speaker, he pledged the resolve of the group to continuously love and support the Speaker to succeed in his new calling. He prayed God Almighty to bless, protect and sustain the Speaker to lead the 7th Assembly to an enviable height.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of Mboho Ntido Uruan, uniform to the Speaker. The Speaker also took time to decorate the seven officers with their new ranks.
