He stated that having a leader like President Muhammadu Buhari who is known widely for merit and fairness in matters of appointment choosing to keep Engr. Ukpong in his former office speaks volume of the value he has brought to the office in particular and to the course of good governance championed by the Next Level Mantra of the present administration.

Chief  Victor said: ā€œLet me begin by saying that Iā€™m not surprised, though. But Iā€™m really excited and proud of the record Engr. Ukpong has written for himself by virtue of his patriotism to the Nigerian Cause, the level of professionalism he has brought into public service discourse, and this testimonial confirmation by no other person but the President of the Federal Republic, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari. We all know who the President is in this matterā€.

He added that, besides the earlier appointment, the reappointment of the Urue Offong/Oruko LGA born engineer and leadership expert into the NPC is a reflection of President Buhariā€™s campaign promise and avowed determination to use the best of brains and most patriotic and capable amongst Nigerians to spearhead the unprecedented transformation that has so far has characterised the present administration.

ā€œThere is strong correlation between the Presidentā€™s acumen and choice of whom he chooses to work with him and the outstanding success of the APC administration at the federal level. For one, it shows proof of what legacy the President wants to bequeath to history in relation to the massive impact he already has created across all critical index of sectoral growth and development of the country. I can only tell the president Thank You for being detribalized, focused and meticulousā€, Matthew observed.

He however uses the instance to urge and challenge the highly celebrated Oro Nation son to remember the popular saying that ā€œto whom much is given, much is expectedā€, expressing unmistakable confidence that, knowing the his personal and corporate values Mr. Ukpong represents, he will step up his game for even higher elevation in the future.
