Breaking: Udom Sacks Commissioner

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel has relieved the Commissioner for Agriculture, Charles Udoinyang of his duties.

This was contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Emmanuel Ekuwem.

The Commissioner for Science and Technology, Prof. Nse Essien has been tasked to immediately take over the functions of the Ministry.

This sack is coming on the heels of an impending overhaul of the State Executive Council where pundits have said may be announced any day from today.

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils

The State governor who communicated his request for the House Resolution dated 6th May 2024 drawing strength from Section 5 sub 2 of the Local Government Administration Law pleaded with the lawmakers to heed to giving the resolution to extend the tenure of Transition Councils as the Commission responsible for conducting elections require an extended time frame. Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into deep mourning and grief as the wife of the State governor has passed away.
