Growth Of Worship Centre Excites AKHA Speaker As Little UyaiAbasi Ukutt Is Dedicated




Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has lauded Pastor Martin Effiong’s dedication and commitment to the growth of Shelter of Redemption Christian Centre, Mbiabong Anyanya, Uyo.
Rt. Hon. Bassey, who made this known on Sunday during the dedication of the church, expressed appreciation to God for the quick development of the Church and said he was delighted to be part of its success story.
The Speaker congratulated the Man of God on the milestone so far recorded in Ministry and used the opportunity to thank the congregation for their fervent prayers, which, according to him, saw him through the electioneering period and his subsequent election as Speaker of the 7th Assembly.
In another development, the Speaker, alongside the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obong Paul Ekpo, joined Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Deaconess Martha Udom Emmanuel, to celebrate the dedication of  little UyaiAbasi, daughter of Mr. Uwem Ukutt, an aide to the Governor, at the Living Faith Church (Winner’s Chapel), Ikot Ebido Oku, Uyo.
At the event, the First Lady charged parents of the child and other parents to strive, at all times, to bring up Godly children that will bring positive impact on the society and who will in turn become pillars of strength in their old age.
In his homily, themed “Unveiling the Reality of Wisdom from Above,” the State Pastor of Living Faith Church, Pastor Triumphant Obamoh, who drew his sermon from Ezekiel Chapter Two and Verse Two, urged faithful to always seek divine wisdom in their daily endeavours, saying God's wisdom puts men in a sustained chain of relevance in life.
The Cleric admonished political office holders to seek God's guidance in the discharge of their duties, urging them to also engage in the fear of God to enable them succeed in their various assignments.
The Service, which was graced by Wife of the Immediate past Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Uduak Luke, Chairmen of Boards and Commissions, featured special prayers for Legislators at the National and State Levels.
Similarly, Speaker Aniekan Bassey also graced the 80th Birthday Anniversary of Mrs. Affiong Okon Mbatt, at Sheer Grace Arena, Uyo, where he thanked God for the life of the celebrator.
He also celebrated with Mr. Ukpono Udoma (Senator), a member of the GemLodge Family.
