Strides In Social Housing: CAN Chairman Lauds Nya-Etok







The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Rev Dr Ndueso Ekwerre has lauded the vision of foremost Architect and Social Housing advocate, Otuekong Ezekiel Nyaetok, observing that, God has used him to make exploits in the Housing sector.


Dr Ekwerre made the observation when he led a high powered delegation of CAN leaders in the State to inspect the now ready for acquisition by interested members of the public, FGN/NOVONE Social Housing Estate located at Ikot Ntuen Nsit opposite University of Uyo Teaching Hospital along Olusegun Obasanjo Road Uyo.

The CAN Chairman who praised Arc. Nyaetok for remaining consistent over the years in the faith and performing at the highest level over the years making a difference with a unique legacy in social housing, not only within the state and the country but beyond the shores of Nigeria.
Dr Ekwerre stressed that, no man can accomplish the feats Arc. Nyaetok has recorded if God is not with him and prayed God to preserve and bless his vision, which he noted, has added value to the state.
The CAN boss expressed delight that such a massive investment was located in Akwa Ibom State and charged other privileged citizens to learn from Arc. Nyaetok and embark on positive ventures which can add value to the development needs of the State and desist from the lazy mentality of waiting for government for all things.

On his part, the State chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Emmanuel Etim, commended Arc. Nyaetok for the focus he has demonstrated in berthing his vision to reality. He called on well meaning Akwa Ibom people to emulate the example and contribute in their private capacities to the Development of the State.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Novone Properties Limited, Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok who conducted the CAN delegation on a facility tour of the estate explained that, the the phase one of the Housing Estate is made up of 60 units; 30 blocks of 3 Bedroom semi-detached bungalows all room ensuite with an additional guest and is set for sale to interested persons at a subsidized price.


Nyaetok who conducted the August visitors around the estate facilities explained that, the Federal Government through the Ministry of Works, Power and Housing, entered a public private partnership with Novone Consult and have provided asphalted road network for the entire phases 1 and 2 of the estate, water reticulation including ground tank, overhead tank, borehole; water treatment plant and a power generating set all at 85% installation stage and four Fire hydrants all installed.

Arc. Nyaetok further revealed that, the external electrification with poles planting/wiring, and two 500KVA transformers  have also been  installed to boost infrastructure in the would-be, all gated estate with premium security.

While explaining that his passion for affordable social housing is unwavering, Nyaetok thanked the CAN leadership for the visit which he noted, amounts to ecclesiastical blessings for the estate and the lucky inhabitants, adding that, his total trust is in God whose grace brought him this far in his stellar career.
