UFOK Congratulates Udom Inoyo On Meritorious Service

As the Vice Chairman and Management External Advisor (Upstream Nigeria), Mr. Udom Uko Inoyo, bows out of ExxonMobil affiliate companies in Nigeria after 30 years of meritorious service, Employees of Akwa Ibom and Cross River State in the company under the aegis of UFOK, conveyed its solidarity and felicitations to him.

The body, in a statement signed by Ephraim Etokudo and Susan Eshett, recounted Inoyoā€™s success story, saying ā€œYour journey in the company started in 1989 with your appointment as the Senior Human Resources Coordinator in charge of Recruiting. You moved through various ranks in the Human Resources department formerly known as Administration Department. The management identified your potential for leadership early and exposed you to various international assignments in the corporationā€™s affiliates in the US and Europe before you returned to Nigeria as Manager, Compensation and Benefits. You achieved the high point of becoming the General Manager, External Relations in 2002 before your career took a sharp trajectory when you were appointed into the Board as Executive Director in 2004. When the company needed a capable hand to lead the HR function you returned to your familiar turf as the In-Country HR Manager/Executive Director with responsibility for the HR function in all ExxonMobil companies in Nigeria. While everyone thought you had already reached your peak, Management thought otherwise and appointed you Executive Vice Chairman of the company on March 19, 2018. Outside MPN you also served two terms as the President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.ā€
ā€œWhile facing the challenges of the workplace, you found time to join hands with others to bring us, your brothers and sisters, together into the forum known as UFOK. Working with your soul mate and other friends, you established the Inoyo Toro Foundation to assist Akwa Ibom State to raise the standard of education in the state. You worked quietly behind the scene to assist indigenes of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States to navigate their ways within the company as much as company policies and procedures permitted. For these and many other endeavours that we cannot mention in this message, we thank you immensely.ā€

ā€œWe believe that your career of more than 30 long years in MPN has been exciting, exacting and exemplary but we also know that there is a time for everything. It is now time for you to step aside from the hustle and bustle of corporate life in order to spend more time with your beautiful family and, perhaps, continue to serve humanity in other ways. We join all your friends, family and well-wishers to Employees of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States in ExxonMobil Subsidiary Companies in Nigeria C/o Mobil Producing Nigeria, Victoria Island, Lagos C thank God for His infinite mercy and guidance without which you would not have succeeded in the competitive environment of Mobil Producing Nigeria.ā€

The statement further said ā€œFor all of us, it was such a pleasure working with you within the office and outside the office. You are a role model and you set such an example to us all with your professionalism, frankness, boldness, commitment, dedication, hard work and above all, for being the bridge-builder between Mobil Producing Nigeria and the Akwa Ibom state Government. Your retirement may be the end of an era but also the beginning of a new-found freedom as you will have more time for relaxation, golfing and prayer.ā€

The body also prayed for the retiree and his family saying ā€œThe entire UFOK wish you, your wife Ntekpe and the children well in your future endeavors.ā€
