Ime Okon Tenders Petition To Reinstate Constituent Wrongfully Dismissed From Duty




Member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ime Bassey Okon has presented a petition seeking the reinstatement of one of his constituents in Michael Okpara University.


He presented the petition on the floor of the House earlier today, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, during plenary. 


The federal lawmaker said the content prays for the reinstatement of his constituent, Daniel Etim Akpan, who was wrongfully dismissed from duty at Micheal Okpara University.


"At today’s plenary, I presented a petition from one of my constituents, Daniel Etim Akpan, against the Michael Okpara University for wrongful termination of his appointment. He is praying for his reinstatement and the payment of his outstanding entitlements."

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils

  By Asuquo Edem Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today put off giving the governor a resolution to extend the stay of Transition Committees across the State. The State governor who communicated his request for the House Resolution dated 6th May 2024 drawing strength from Section 5 sub 2 of the Local Government Administration Law pleaded with the lawmakers to heed to giving the resolution to extend the tenure of Transition Councils as the Commission responsible for conducting elections require an extended time frame.
