Senator Aniekan Highlights Gains Of A'Ibom Stakeholders Visit To President Tinibu




Senator Aniekan Bassey of the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District has underscored the far-reaching benefits of Akwa Ibom stakeholders' visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Friday.


Speaking on the importance of the visit with newsmen on Saturday at his Abuja residence, Senator Bassey hinted that the high-powered delegation, led by Governor Umo Eno and the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, presented the President with critical developmental concerns of Akwa Ibom. 


According to the Senator, some of the concerns were in the area of rural infrastructure, economic growth, and federal support for key projects. 





He explained that the meeting provided a strategic platform for robust developmental partnerships between the Federal Government and Akwa Ibom State. 


“The visit to President Tinubu was a defining moment for Akwa Ibom. It reaffirmed our commitment to fostering strong federal collaboration for infrastructural advancement and industrialization, which are crucial for rural development and economic empowerment,” Senator Bassey maintained. 


“With the support of the Federal Government, Akwa Ibom is poised to witness accelerated development. The type that will ensure that rural dwellers have access to essential infrastructure and economic opportunities,” Senator Bassey added. 


He commended Governor Umo Eno and Senate President Godswill Akpabio for their leadership and unwavering commitment to the Akwa Ibom project. 


The Akwa Ibom North-East Senator, who stressed that the visit marks a significant step in deepening federal-state synergy, also assured his constituents that he would continue to advocate for policies that drive sustainable development across the state.
