AKPF MEETS REP. IME OKON, COMMENDS HIS PEOPLE-CENTERED LEADERSHIP…Pledges Support for President Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno

 




The Akwa Ibom People’s Forum (AKPF) Ibiono Ibom Chapter on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Member representing Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Ime Bassey Okon, at his Federal Constituency Office in Itu Local Government Area.


The visit provided an opportunity for the group to commend the lawmaker for his people-oriented initiatives and explore areas of collaboration to drive development across the constituency and Akwa Ibom State.


In his remarks, Rep. Ime Okon thanked the AKPF for their show of solidarity and reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his constituents. He urged the forum to remain steadfast in its mission and contribute meaningfully to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno, stressing that unity and alignment with the center would guarantee greater dividends of democracy.







“You must stay true to your ideals and work collectively to achieve your objectives. I assure you of my support where necessary and encourage you to continue engaging positively for the progress of our people,” the federal lawmaker stated.


Earlier, the Coordinator of AKPF in Ibiono Ibom, Apostle Nkereuwem Bassey, confirmed Rep. Ime Okon as the leader of the forum in the local government area. He noted that the courtesy visit was aimed at briefing the lawmaker on the forum’s plans and setting their agenda in motion. Mr. Bassey also announced that the AKPF has adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno, and Rep. Ime Okon for massive grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections.


In their goodwill messages, members of the forum applauded the lawmaker’s track record of impactful representation and pledged their unwavering loyalty and support to ensure the continued political success of President Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno, and Rep. Ime Okon.


Delivering the vote of thanks, the Secretary of the group, Hon. Mandu Eduese, expressed appreciation to Rep. Ime Okon for granting audience despite his tight schedule. She also commended members of the AKPF for their strong turnout and reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to sustaining its objectives.
