The Chairman Of the Media Organisation , Elder Edet Okpo who spoke in Uyo On Sunday , September 21, 2025, On behalf Of the Board Of Trustees, Executive Council and Members Of the Association Of Eket Senatorial District Media Professionals, acknowledged the Outstanding Service, Patriot Commitment and immense contributions Of the distinguished Senator to the advance ment Of his Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.


Edet Okpo who is also the Editor- In- Chief Of the Scorecard Magazine, a medium that promotes transparency accountability and impact in governance, noted that Senator Ekong Sampson has not been found wanting in the trinity mandate of lawmaking, Oversight and representation.


" The unblemished record of dedicated public service, unquestionable democratic credentials and unmitigated commitment to the welfare of the people of Akwa Ibom South (Eket )Senatorial District by distinguished Senator ( Dr.) Ekong Sampson are highly commendable. Elder Okpo said, Senator Ekong Sampson, being a versatile, thorough-bred, purpose-driven, accomplished politician and a quintessential leader, he is currently commissioning people - oriented projects he executed across the three federal Constituencies of Akwa Ibom South ( Eket) Senatorial District, while laying foundation for new ones expected to be commissioned before the end of 2025.


Speaking further, Okpo observed that in the red Chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Ekong Sampson has brought his vast, rich and varied experiences in legislative business to bear, thereby turning around the economic fortunes of his constituents and securing permanent employment in federal MDAs for some of his constituents seeking employment.

  The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today during Plenary received a petition against the Council Chairman of Ikono, Hon.
