2023: Usenobong Akpabio Deserves to Represent USD -- Ibiono Ibom Delegates As Usenobong Akpabio receives a rowdy Welcome in Ibiono Ibom

 




Delegates from Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area have authenticated the credibility and integrity of Barr. Usenobong Akpabio to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the Senate, insisting that he deserves the office based on his pedigree, legislative experience and loyalty to People's Democratic Party (PDP).


The authentication came on Thursday when Barr. Akpabio consulted Ibiono Ibom Delegates ahead of his  aspiration to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly at the Town Hall, Ibiatuk, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.


Speaking on behalf of the Delegates, the Ibiono Ibom PDP Chapter Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Akpan reiterated that since there is a reward system in PDP, a competent man like Barr Usenobong Akpabio is qualified to represent Uyo Senatorial District in National Assembly based on his track record of achievements, his labour and loyalty to the party.


Hon. Emmanuel Akpan said Senate is not a place to send who is not competent, stressing that he can attest to Barr.  Usenobong Akpabio legislative experience, judging from his antecedent in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. "He has good knowledge about the legislative business."


He narrated the ordeal faced by Barr. Usenobong Akpabio in the course of serving and being loyal to the party, saying that Delegates will look at the aspiration of Barr. Usenobong Akpabio critically with conscience.


Hon. Akpan debunked the spreading rumour that Ibiono Ibom Local Government Delegates will not receive any aspirant other than the ones from Ibiono Ibom LGA, noting they are ready to receive aspirants coming to consult them for any political office.


Meanwhile, at the consultation, Barr. Usenobong Akpabio promised to always come back to Ibiono Ibom for appreciation. He said as far as business of legislature is concerned, he is qualified to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly and bring back dividends of democracy to the grassroots.


He added that he will give Uyo Senatorial District quality and effective representation that will touch the lives of elders, women, youths and children. "As far as business of legislature is concerned, I'm fitted for the job. I will always come back with scorecard." He said.


Also, the Director General (DG) of Usenobong 2023 Campaign Organization, Hon. Achibong Inyang said Barr. Usenobong Akpabio is a party faithful who understands the business of the Legislature.


He stressed that Usenobong Akpabio has pedigree to maintain the height and integrity created by the previous Senators from Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly and he will connect the grassroots with center for rapid development.


He appealed support for Usenobong Akpabio, assuring that with his track record of achievements in House of Assembly, he will give Uyo Senatorial District a voice in the Senate.
