ITU/IBIONO ENTERTAINERS ENDORSE IME OKON'S FED HOUSE ASPIRATION

 




Entertainers from Itu and Ibiono Ibom extraction of Akwa Ibom State have declared unalloyed support towards the Federal House  aspiration of Rt. Hon. (Barr) Ime Bassey Okon by releasing a campaign song and donating campaign materials for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Unity Project 2023.


The group led by Mr. Donald Daniel Michael made the endorsement  today at his resident.


In his speech, Leader of the group, Mr. Donald Daniel Michael said they are over 200 members who are convinced to support the aspiration of Rt. Hon. Ime Okon due to his humane personality, accessibility, intellectual depth and impactful antecedents.


"We the entertainers, comprising of Musicians, Dancers, Masters of Ceremonies (MCs), Actors, Comedians and Instrumentalists came together and gather our resources to support this course because we see in Rt. Hon. Ime Okon a better offer than money which many politicians use to buy the consciences of the people than the people taking time to check content/quality of a person before considering the money.


"Entertainers in Itu/Ibiono Ibom are not just endorsing the aspiration of Rt. Hon. Ime Okon but we are eagerly ready to exercise our franchise towards the course," Mr Donald Daniel Michael submits.


He however solicited that the group be integrated into the Itu/Ibiono Ibom Unity Project 2023 campaign organisation.


Another entertainer, Prince Etibass Bassey said he does not get involved in politics but was moved by the news of the aspiration of Rt. Hon. Ime Okon being conversant of his impactful antecedence in the past.


He encouraged members of the group to spread the gospel of Ime Okon's ambition through their crafts and be ready to express it at the polls.


In his response, the aspirant, Rt. Hon. Ime Bassey Okon said he was surprised by the gesture and thanked the entertainers for their ingenuity and support. 


He said the gesture will never be taken for granted and promised not to let the hope of the people down even when he gets to National Assembly.


Leading the team to pray for the Aspirant and family, Mr. Kingsley Boniface Effiong, also an entertainer said God which is the fulcrum of the Campaign Organisation will always lead and guide even after victory is gained.


Highpoint of the event was the launching of the Campaign Song and donation of other campaign materials including branded face caps.


Present were the DG of Itu/Ibiono Ibom Unity Project 2023 Campaign Organisation, Mr. Godwin Benson; the Vice Chairman of Ibiono Ibom, Hon. Nsikanabasi Ukobot; Woman Leader of the Campaign Organisation and serving Supervisor of Economic Development, Ibiono Ibom, Hon. Mandu Eduese and other members of the Campaign team.
