USD 2023: "Our Decision Will Not Go Against You" --- Etinan Delegates Tell Barr. Usenobong Akpabio

 




Ahead of the the upcoming People's Democratic Party PDP Primaries, Delegates from Etinan Local Government Area have assured the PDP aspirant for Uyo Senatorial District Seat in the National Assembly, Barr Usenobong Akpabio that their decision will not go against his ambition.


The Delegates gave the assurance at the weekend when Barr. Akpabio consulted them at the Party Chairman's residence in Etinan LGA.


Speaking on behalf of the Delegates, the PDP Chapter Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon. Inemesit Itina said the party will look at Barr. Usenobong Akpabio's request critically in taking the decision of who they will support for Senate.


He assured Barr. Usenobong Akpabio that the decision of Delegates from Etinan Local Government Area will not go against his ambition, saying that he is bold, energetic and well experience to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the Senate.


He saluted the courage of Barr. Akpabio in remaining in PDP despite not being able to represent Uyo Senatorial District in 2015and 2019. "People keep moving from one party to another but Usenobong Akpabio has never defected"


However, Barr. Usenobong  Akpabio appealed to Etinan delegates saying that he is qualified to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly. "I'm here to submit myself to the conscience of the party because the party has conscience. In terms of qualification and credibility, I'm qualified.


He promised not to fail the delegates after their support and solicited for their support, pleading that he cannot succeed to represent Uyo Senatorial District in the Senate without their support.


Also, the Director General (DG) of Usenobong 2023 Campaign Organization, Hon. Achibong Inyang said Barr. Usenobong Akpabio is a party faithful who understands the business of the Legislature.


He stressed that Usenobong Akpabio has pedigree to maintain the height and integrity created by the previous Senators from Uyo Senatorial District in the National Assembly and he will connect the grassroots with center for rapid development.


He appealed support for Usenobong Akpabio, assuring that with his track record of achievements in House of Assembly, he will give Uyo Senatorial District a voice in the Senate.
