ITU/IBIONO 2023: "IBIONO IBOM WILL BE A SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT AREA" - IME OKON

 



The PDP Candidate for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency in the upcoming February 25, 2023 elections, Rt. Hon. Ime Bassey Okon has reiterated that Ibiono Ibom LGA should be a Special Development area in the Pst Umo Eno led administration from May 29, 2023.


The Candidate made the request on Saturday during the Umo Eno/Ayakenyi campaign rally in Ibiono Ibom LGA. 


In his words, "Ibiono Ibom will continue to support PDP and we believe that after giving our 5/5 votes in the forthcoming elections to the Party, Pst Umo Eno on assumption of office will make Ibiono Ibom LGA a Special Development area, giving us the needed development for the growth of the LGA."


He promised synergy with all PDP Candidates at the national and state to ensure dividends of democracy are drawn to the people. 


Itu/Ibiono Ibom hopeful who was accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Victoria Ime Okon, members of his Itu/Ibiono Ibom Unity Project 2023 Campaign Organisation and other supporters received the PDP Flag as Candidate for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency.


The Umo Eno/Ayakenyi Campaign in Ibiono Ibom had the Governor, HE Udom Emmanuel who was represented by the wife - Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor - Mr. Moses Ekpo, the PDP Governorship Candidate - Pst Umo Eno and wife, his running mate - Senator Akon Ayakenyi, the PDP State Chairman - Hon Aniekan Bassey, the Uyo Senatorial Candidate - Rt. Hon Aniekan Bassey, Candidate for Ibiono Ibom State Constituency - Hon. Godwin Ekpo, Party officials, faithfuls and stakeholders in Ibiono Ibom LGA.

Breaking: A’Ibom Governor Removes Two Aides Amid Restructuring, Alleged PDP Links

  Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has relieved two aides of their duties with immediate effect, the state government announced on Monday. AKIRS secures N1.2b judgement against Ardent Energy Services LTD ....warns against tax evasion

  The Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS) has secured a landmark judgement against Ardent Energy Services Ltd, an oil servicing company operating in Akwa Ibom State. In a judgement delivered on July 3, 2025 at the Revenue Court of Akwa Ibom State, Uyo, by the Presiding Revenue Judge, Maureen-Idongesit M. Udoka, the court ordered the defendant to pay to the Akwa Ibom State Government, the sum of N1.2bilion, including penalty and interest on the principal sum.  The judgement was in consequence to Suit No. Rue/77C/2022, filed by AKIRS. With this judgement, which is a major milestone in AKIRS tax compliance drive, the agency warns taxpayers to willingly comply to their civic obligations of always paying their taxes as and when due as there was no hiding place for defaulters.
