Akpabio Defeats Yari With 17 Votes, Emerges 10th Senate President

 

In a keenly contested race, Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged the 10th President of the Senate defeating Senator Abdul’aziz Yari.

The former governor of Akwa Ibom State defeated Yari who is the former governor of Zamfara State after scoring 63 votes to 46 votes.
