Senate 2023: Uruan Inaugurates Campaign Council, Assures Victory For PDP






To ensure landslide victory for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the grassroots and to deepen the ideals of the Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, the Uruan Local Government Area Chapter of the Council has been inaugurated.




The Inaugural ceremony, which took place at the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District Campaign Headquarters, Osongoma Road, Uyo, was well attended by eminent personalities, political bigwigs, stakeholders and members of the PDP from Uruan.



Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey who is the PDP Candidate for the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District seat in the 2023 elections, was assured of overwhelming victory at the polls.



While presenting his book opening remarks, the Uruan Coordinator of the Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Tony Akan, expressed delight for the success of the event and charged members of the Committee to take the message to the grassroots and completely canvass votes for the PDP.



He further enjoined members to see the vote for the PDP and all it's candidates as the vote for the prosperity of Uruan ad Akwa Ibom State.


In his remarks, the Director of Planning of the Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, Obong Augustine Effiong, said  Uruan has remained a stronghold and deciding force of Akwa Ibom State election. 



He said the victory of Aniekan Bassey and all other PDP candidates remains non-negotiable.



Also speaking, the Uruan Chapter Chairman of PDP, Hon. Sebastian Nkanga, guaranteed total support and victory for the PDP in all polling units of the area.



In his speech, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Obong Godwin Awah, urged the people of Uruan to join hands and ensure that Aniekan Bassey and other PDP candidates records overwhelming victory in the upcoming general elections.



All the people that gave goodwill messages including the State Woman Leader of PDP, Mrs. Mmeme Akpabio, Youth Representative in the campaign council, Hon. Okokon Ekpenyong and Hon. Frank Amba-wills, expressed appreciation to the Coordinator, Hon Akan and to the Campaign Council.




Other dignitaries at the occasion were rhe Director of Publicity, Dr Eventus Edem; Secretary of the Campaign Council, Uruan Chapter, Hon. Bassey Bassey; Otuekong Bonny Nyong; PDP Chapter Women Leader, Mrs Regina Inyang; all chapter officers of the Party, and others.
