Election Victory: Guber' Candidate Congratulates Udom, Task Ors to Emulate Same

The Change Nigeria Party (CNP)  Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom State  Dr. Engr. Anietie Ukpong has congratulated Governor Udom Emmanuel on his victory in the just concluded Governorship election in the State and subsequent re-election as Akwa Ibom State’s Chief Executive for another four years term.

Dr. Ukpong said he knew that Governor Emmanuel  had the divine mandate fueled from his #onlyGod campaign slogan, confessing that the slogan was in the lips of the vast majority of Akwa Ibom people and residents.

The CNP Governorship hopeful made the congratulatory remarks during his interview with Journalists shortly after announcement and declaration of the election results in Uyo.

He also used the medium to appealed to all the contestants during the election to borrow a leaf from him and also issue similar congratulations to the re-elected Governor and be poised to help contribute to the development of  the state that they all love dearly, saying "no single person has the answers to the chronic lack of economic opportunities, chronic darkness, overcrowded street hawking, decrepit infrastructure, lack of state wide health insurance".

"let Akwa Ibom people home and abroad, from Eastern Obolo to Ukanafun, from Ikot Abasi to Itu, join hands in prayers and wish the re-elected Governor God's abundant grace and guide him as he strives to industralize the State through a petrochemical/refinery industry, that will create jobs for untold millions and help tackle the chronic darkness (lack of constant electricity) in our State. A wide health insurance scheme for all would add to the legacy projects of the re-elected Governor ". He added.

Dr. Engr. Ukpong also appealed to His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel to be very "aggressive" in the development of Akwa Ibom State especially the heavily marginalized communities of Ini, Itu, Oron,  Eket and Esit Eket Local Government areas.

He expressed optimism that the re-elected Governor will push for a legacy industrialization effort by pushing for the construction of a behemoth industry, a petrorchemical/refinery industry in Akwa Ibom State, adding that such will cement the legacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Legacy in Akwa Ibom state.

Finally, Dr. Ukpong further appealed  to the re-elected Governor to task diaspora in the development of the state and use his experiences in travelling to western and Eastern countries such as the United States of America and China, to effect a transformational development of Akwa Ibom State.

Similarly, the leadership of the Change Nigeria Party (CNP) in Akwa Ibom State has debunked the rumours making round in some media platforms that the party had endorsed the APC Governorship Candidate in the just concluded elections in the State.

The leadership of the party in a statement issued recently said such publication should have centered on the party's philosophy of tackling unemployment and poor electricity supply in the State rather than faking pseudo endorsement and support for any political parties.

The release described the purported reports as frivolous and misleading information carried out by junk and unprofessional media practitioners with hidden agenda being that there was no party logo and image of the party's national leader, Dr Anietie Ukpong.
The party, therefore, threatened to sue any journalist and media organization who carried carried the fake report except the information is retracted and due apologies tendered with 24 hours.
