Elections Victory: Afigh Iwaad Ekid Lauds Gov Emmanuel, Calls for Unity among Oppositions



A foremost socio-cultural organization in Akwa Ibom State, the Afigh Iwaad Ekid, has congratulated Governor Udom Emmanuel on his victory at the just concluded Governorship election in Akwa Ibom State.

The President General of the Afigh Iwaad Ekid, ObongIwaad (Pst)  Godwin Williams, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Iwaad Ime Ben, attributed the electoral victory of Governor Emmanuel to a number of factors which includes his broad base achievements and his strong faith in God, saying the victory did not come as a surprise to Akwa Ibom people.

ObongIwaad Williams in the statement, maintained that the Governor, despite the hurdles he faced from the inception of his administration, embarked on massive infrastructure development projects to all parts of the State, a situation which earned him support and goodwill from the people.

ObongIwaad Williams noted that the Governor was able to prudently manage the lean resources accrued to the State for the development of all sectors of economy while focusing on Industrialization, human empowerment and infrastructural renaissance all over the State.

The President General congratulated the Governor and other winners of the elections on their victory and also commended the people of the State for their believe in the abilities of the State Chief Executive, adding that above all, the victory should be dedicated to God who abhors injustice.

ObongIwaad Williams also used the medium to call on those who could not make it at the elections to come together and unite with Governor Emmanuel's administration to move Akwa Ibom State forward.

ObongIwaad Williams thanked all the stakeholders and electorate from other Federal Constituencies and Senatorial Districts in the State for standing by their son, Governor Emmanuel to re-emerge as the Executive Governor of the State.
