Akan Okon, Inyangeyen Among 19 Commissioners, 2 Special Advisers Cleared By AKHA

Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today during Plenary screened and confirmed 19 Commissioners and 2 Special Adviser earlier nominated and sent to the House by Governor Udom Emmanuel while also seeking that they be given portfolios based on their areas of specialization.

Those cleared include Barr. Ekong Sampson, Mr. Uno Etim, Mr. Okpulupum Ette, Mr. Akan okon, Arch. Ime Ekpo, Mr NSE Essien, Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, Mr. Monday Uko, Mr. Linus Nkan, Hon. Okpulupum Etteh, Mr Ephraim Inyaneyen, Barr. Ekong Sampson, Mr Charles Udoh.

Others are; Mr. Orman Esin, Iniobong Essien, Dr Dominic Ukpong, Dr Gloria Edet, Mr. Udo Ekpenyong, Mr Uno Etim Uno, Mr Raphael Bassey, Mr Victor Bassey, Barr. Ukpong Akpabio .
The special advisers are; Hon Sunny Ibuot and Mrs Ekemini Umoh.

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils

By Asuquo Edem Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today put off giving the governor a resolution to extend the stay of Transition Committees across the State. The State governor who communicated his request for the House Resolution dated 6th May 2024 drawing strength from Section 5 sub 2 of the Local Government Administration Law pleaded with the lawmakers to heed to giving the resolution to extend the tenure of Transition Councils as the Commission responsible for conducting elections require an extended time frame. Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into deep mourning and grief as the wife of the State governor has passed away.
