2023 HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS: HON SELINA UKPATU FLOORS 9 ASPIRANTS TO WIN PDP NOMINATION FOR IKOT ABASI/ EASTERN OBOLO STATE CONSTITUENCY.

The  State Assistant Secretary 3 of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Hon. (Mrs) Selina Isotuk Ukpatu, has  floored a total of 9 Aspirants  jostling for the PDP ticket to emerge  winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nomination for the 2023 Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo  State  Constituency Election.


Selina Ukpatu  floored  Dr. Charles Mbong, former Member representing Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly  and Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Akon Eyakenyi, who scored 6 votes,Chief Ufikairo Efet,  Hon. Bill Nango, Mr. Ezekiel Uzono,  Hon. Victoria Tallick, Hon. Johnson Jumbo, Hon. Douglass Udu, Hon Solomon Harry and Dominic Martins and   emerged  Winner  after  scoring  fifty six  (61)votes out of 62  total votes cast. 


After being declared winner of the PDP Nomination Congress  and returned elected by the Returning Officer, the Youth and Women of Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo were thrown into jubilant mood,  celebrating Hon

Selina Ukpatu whom they described as seasoned grassroots politician with rich experience and capacity to win   the 2023  Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo State Constituency 's seat  in the House of Assembly, during the general elections.


Delegates and agents of  other aspirants, INEC Officials, Security agents and the media unanimously  adjudged the nomination exercise as free, fair, credible and very transparent, even though there were some pockets of violence after the exercise had been duly concluded.


Addressing the Stakeholders, Delegates and teeming supporters  of PDP at the  Venue of the Nomination Exercise, Hon. Selina  Ukpatu x-rayed her heart of gratitude to God for qualifying and chosing  her  among the 10 persons  who contested for the PDP ticket and promised  of carrying all along in the discharge of the mandate entrusted into her hands.


The three term PDP State Officer also assured the people of Eastern Obolo and Ikot Abasi that she will never be found wanting in trinity mandate of lawmaking, oversight and representation if  elected to represent them in the hallowed chamber.


The Visibly elated Candidate of PDP in the forthcoming  2023 General Elections, thanked  Governor Udom Emmanuel and Wife, Engr. Uwem Okoko, Rt. Hon. Francis Charles Uduyok and other Stakeholders of Ikot Abasi and Eastern Obolo  for promoting  new dimension of inclusive leadership, where elective and appointive political offices are shared among the two local government areas of Eastern Obolo and Ikot Abasi. 


She  solicited the support and cooperation of those who also  vied for the PDP ticket as well as the entire structure of PDP in Ikot Abasi and Eastern Obolo to enable her and the Party win during  the general elections.


Expressing deep satisfaction on the conduct of the  nomination exercise,one of the  leaders of Ikot Abasi  and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hensek Integrated Engineering Services Limited, Engr.Uwem Okoko , appreciated the delegates of the Party for making a good and popular  choice by voting a vibrant , consistent and loyal Party Woman in the person of Hon. Selina Ukpatu to represent them  in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in 2023.

Okoko, stated.


Meanwhile, the Director of Media and Publicity, Pastor Umo Eno Support Group ,Barr(Mrs) Inyene Ukoima has onbehalf of the Chancellor, President and the entire structure of the Support Group,  lcongratulated Hon. Selina Ukpatu on her historic emergence as the Candidate of PDP for the 2023 Ikot Abasi/ Eastern Obolo State Constituency Seat.


Expressing deep satisfaction on Selina's capacity to lead the State Constituency to Victory during the 2023 general election, Barr Inyene Ukoima spoke confident that her subsequent emergence as duly elected Member after the general election will mark a turning point in the political history of Eastern Obolo.


Describing Hon. Selina Ukpatu as an agent of light and grassroots politician of no mean repute, the spokesperson of Pastor Umo Eno Support Group assured her of massive mobilization of their Members in the State Constituency for the total and overall victory of the PDP Candidate.   

Pastor Umo Eno Support Group called on all Delegates to massively Vote for pastor  Umo Eno during the Governorship Primary Elections.

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils
