APC Esit Eket Endorses Tinubu, Gov Eno, Akpabio For Second Term... Reaffirm Bassey Dan Abia As Political Leader




In a significant show of unity, leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from all ten political wards in Esit Eket local government area have officially endorsed the second-term aspirations of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio for the 2027 elections.


The gathering, held at the APC secretariat in Ikpa, Esit Eket, drew thousands of residents, prominent political figures, traditional rulers, community leaders, women and youth groups, all coming together to celebrate and support Governor Eno's administration.












The meeting marked the first assembly of APC stakeholders in Esit Eket since the governor's transition from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. They expressed their satisfaction with the achievements of President Tinubu, Governor Eno, and Senator Akpabio, recognising their contributions to national development and progress.


In a communique released at the end of the enlarged meeting, read by former assemblyman, Rt. Hon. Dr. Usoro Akpanusoh, the stakeholders pledged their unwavering support for Governor Eno's administration and its developmental agenda, encapsulated in the ARISE Agenda. They lauded the governor as a dedicated leader committed to inclusive governance.


The stakeholders also reiterated their support for President Tinubu and praised Senate President Akpabio for his visionary leadership and collaboration with Governor Eno, which, according to them, has fostered an inclusive and unified government in Akwa Ibom State. 


Additionally, the stakeholders reaffirmed the political leadership of Sir Bassey Dan Abia, the former MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and passed a vote of confidence in him as a respected and influential figure within the party.


Hon. Asuquo Simon, who moved the motion to support Sir Bassey Dan Abia as the APC Leader, assuring the audience that all party members in Esit Eket would mobilise votes for Tinubu, Eno, and Akpabio in 2027, while Hon. Ntiense Robson Isemin, the Chapter Welfare Officer, seconded the motion.


The stakeholders urged all party members to work towards strengthening internal unity to ensure the party remains aligned with the vision and goals set by its founders. They encouraged members to stay united, seek additional endorsements, and warmly welcome new defectors and those interested in joining the APC.


Highpoint of the meeting was the ceremonial presentation of the sword of leadership to Sir Bassey Dan Abia by the Chapter Chairman of APC in Esit Eket, Hon. Assam, symbolising his role in guiding Esit Eket towards political success in the future.
