PRINCESS FELICIA BASSEY SCORES GOVERNOR UMO ENO HIGH FOR ALIGNING AKWA IBOM WITH FEDERAL GOVERNMENT...AS OKOBO STAKEHOLDERS, ELDERS, YOUTH AND WOMEN ACROSS PARTY LINES COLLAPSE POLITICAL STRUCTURES FOR ALL PROGRESSIVE PARTY

 




The Honorary Special Adviser to Akwa Ibom State Governor On Infrastructure Maintenance and immediate Past Deputy Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Princess Felicia Bassey, has given Governor Umo Eno a pat at the back for his ingenuity and political foresightness in connecting Akwa Ibom State with the federal Government of Nigeria, expressing optimism that the alignment will not only be mutually beneficial but will attract quality infrastructure and other mouths-watering dividends of democracy to Akwa Ibom State.



The renowned grassroots political heavyweight made the Commendation on thursday, June 19, 2025, during a strategic Unity Political Meeting between defected Stakeholders and Members of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) and Leaders and Members of the All Progressive Congress( APC), Held at the Okobo Development Hall, Okopedi.


Giving justifiable reasons while movers and shakers of politics in Okobo must close ranks, be united in love and follow the direction provided by Governor Umo Eno and his all- inclusive ARISE Agenda blueprint,  Princess Bassey emphasized that  Pastor Umo Eno remains unwaveringly committed to addressing infrastructural deficits in Okobo through construction of quality road network, Model Schools, Health Centres and integration of Okobo People into the scheme of things in his administration.


The Okobo former Lawmaker advised APC Members to exchew politics of bitterness and discrimination, saying Members of PDP  were bringing gold( Governor Umo Eno) to the negotiation table and should never be treated as lepers.


" Our Governor  deserves our loyalty and support. He is building concrete bridges across Party, tribal and religious divides. He is growing economy and developing people. With him on the driver's seat of governance and the distinguished Senate President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Dr. Godswill Akpabio,GCON, Akwa Ibom socio- political landscape will witness a fresh wind of massive development. I appeal to us, let us come out Saturday,June 21, 2025, to accord our Governor  an arousing welcome during the historic reception by All Progressive Congress "., she stated.


 On their Part,  Member representing Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Bassey pius Bassey,  Executive Chairman of Okobo,  Rt. Hon. Engr. George Henshaw,  Commissioner for Sanitation and Water Resources, Dr. Ubuo Effiong Ubuo, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief (Barr) Ekpenyong Ntekim, former Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Chief Barr. Peter Linus Umoh thanked Governor Umo Eno for connecting Akwa Ibom State to the centre and described the epochal meeting as a reunion of political pathfinders in Okobo to strengthen the structure of All Progressive Congress in line with the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno and the Renewed Hope of President Bola Tinubu.


In their separate goodwill messages, former Members of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chief Asukwo Odiong and Rt.Hon Chrysantus Etteh,  APC Chieftain, Mr Ini Esang among other notable Sons and daughters of Okobo, pledged their  total commitments to the Unity project of Okobo local government area as well as their loyalty and support to Governor Umo Eno and President Bola Tinubu.


Earlier in his tone setting, the Zonal Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Eket Senatorial District, Dr. Cyril Eneminyi, assured those who defected to the APC  of full rights and privileges and advised various APC  Ward Excos to make registration and induction of new Members seamless .


On his part, APC Chapter Chairman in Okobo, Mr. Douglas Ukot, welcomed stakeholders and new members into APC family,assured them of total love and unity.
