MKPAT ENIN STAKEHOLDERS ADOPT SENATOR EKONG SAMPSON, UMO ENO, BOLA TINUBU AS SOLE CANDIDATES IN 2027 ELECTIONS

As major Stakeholders, political and Community leader
s, groups and Party Chieftains across various local government areas within Akwa Ibom South ( Eket) Senatorial District, continue to endorse the Senator representing Akwa Ibom South ( Eket) Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Ekong Sampson,PhD, Stakeholders from Mkpat Enin Local government area, have unanimously adopted their Son, Senator Ekong Sampson, Governor Umo Eno and President Bola Tinubu as their sole Candidates for the 2027 General elections.
According to the Stakeholders of Mkpat Enin, their decision to endorse their Son, Senator Ekong Sampson, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for a second term is fundamentally performance-driven, adherence to the existing zoning arrangement and the need to promote ranking in legislative business.
Making their position public after an enlarged Stakeholders Meeting in Uyo, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, former Member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, representing Mkpat Enin State Constituency, Hon. Engr. Otobong Ndem, Prof.( Monsignor ) Sylvanus Udoidem, former Vice Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt, Hon. Dr. Imowo Udobia, Deaconess Joe Udobia- Wife of former Chairman of Mkpat Enin, Martins Udo Inyang , Rev. Obot Ekanem, a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), amongst other Speakers noted that the massive endorsements of Senator Ekong Sampson for a second term by stakeholders of Eket Senatorial District and the good people of Mkpat Enin local government area are not casual compliments but affirmations grounded in legislative performance, oversight capacity, and constituency impact.
In a motion ably moved by Hon.( Prince) Anieokpon Ekpo- fomer Chairman of Mkpat Enin local government area and swiftly seconded by Chief Friday Udo Ayara- a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Mkpat Enin stakeholders endorsed Senator Ekong Sampson for second term and expressed deep satisfaction over the effective representation and robust legislative engagements of Senator Ekong Sampson in the Senate.
They also appreciated the President of the 10th Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, for the love, goodwill and support he has extended to their Son, Distinguished Senator Ekong Sampson, evident in his appointment as Chairman, Senate Committee on Solid Minerals Development.
The visibly elated stakeholders also used the strategic Meeting to thank the leaders of Akwa Ibom South ( Eket) Senatorial District for their wisdom and decision to bury the old tradition of single-tenure or replacement option and to promote legislative ranking through proven performance. They reasoned that sustained excellence should be rewarded with continuity.
Reacting to the development, Senator Ekong Sampson thanked the people of Mkpat Enin for endorsing him, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD and President Bola Tinubu for Second term.
The lawmaker hinted that he is emboldened by the home front endorsement and demonstration of goodwill, assuring them of his unmitigated commitment towards ensuring his constituency projects are spread across all the political wards and Clans in Mkpat Enin local government area and the entire Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom South.
" I am a Man of goodwill and a result- oriented public Servant. I appreciate the support and honur done me today. This is an act of love and goodwill, not inducement and I don't take it for granted ", Senator Ekong Sampson, stated.
Currently Chairman, Senate Committee on Solid Minerals Development and Senator representing Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, Senator Sampson’s performance has been widely described as outstanding, impactful, and record-setting. The convergence of voices—from political leaders and party stakeholders to youth groups, women, Media professionals, and community leaders—signals not merely routine political support, but a considered endorsement rooted in performance and legislative value.
