Ahead 2023 Elections, Ime Okon Consults Maternal Family




As activities are on top gear towards 2023 elections, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon consulted his maternal family in Ekimbok community, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area.


He made the visit amidst cheer and excitement yesterday as

the people came out to receive him.


The PDP Candidate for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal constituency in the forthcoming elections, Rt. Hon. Ime Okon assured Ekimbok people of his determination to be a channel where they will experience dividends of democracy and also ensure that the yearnings of his people are heard via his contributions on the floor of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

 

The PDP Candidate acknowledged the support and contributions Ekimbok people have been giving him throughout his political outings seeking public offices to serve the people. He specially thanked his grandparents for raising him up and instilling the virtues which he possesses which have helped him to excel in public offices.


He solicited more support for his 2023 ambition to serve the people of Itu/Ibiono Ibom in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly as well as all other PDP candidates. 


While the people prayed and committed the cause to God, the Royal Fathers expressed pride for the personality of their son and promised never to break trust with PDP because of the dividends they have enjoyed as a people through their son.


"How blessed are we to have Obong Ime Okon from our lineage. A man who possesses the mental acuity and the political savvy to represent the people of Itu/Ibiono Ibom in the National Assembly. We will support you and PDP to actualize the good plans you have for the people."


One of the Elders, Chief Udoetuk in his remarks said it is clear PDP found him worthy of a higher legislative engagement given his excellent disposition and robust legislation during his time in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. He commended PDP for choosing the best hand for the job.


Obong Ime Okon was accompanied on the visit by his wife, his brothers, Campaign team led by the Director General Comrade Godwin Mbeke, Councillors and Supervisors from Itu and Ibiono Ibiono Ibom, PDP Chapter Chairman - Hon Enobong Ekong, Ward Chairmen and others.
