Senate 2023: Aniekan Bassey Tours Three Wards In Uruan South





Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District (Uyo Senatorial District), Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has assured electorates and stakeholders of Southern Ward – 4, 5 and 6 in Uruan Local Government Area of better democratic dividends, if elected Senator.


Rt. Hon. Bassey, who is the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, made this known on Friday during a joint ward-to-ward tour by him and candidates of the party for Uyo/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan/Uruan Federal Constituency and Uruan State Constituency, Elder Mark Esset and Dr Itorobong Etim.


Addressing the people of Southern Uruan, which comprise of 7 villages, Ndon Ebom, Nung Ikono Ufok, Ituk Mbang, Ibiaku Issiet, Ekpene Ukim, Obio Ndobo and Ndon Uruan the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District hopeful said “PDP is the only party that believes in the Akwa Ibom Project and the prosperity of Uruan and the state.”


While reeling out his blueprint to the people, Rt. Hon. Bassey appealed to the stakeholders to vote massively for all the candidates of the PDP in the 2023 general elections. 


In his remarks, the Deputy Director General of the Umo Eno/Akon Eyakenyi Campaign Council, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, urged the people of the area to reciprocate the many good deed of the Udom Emmanuel administration in Uruan by voting for all candidates of the PDP in the general elections.


Prince Ntukudeh further commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, whom he described as an illustrious son of the area, for attracting development to Uruan.


Rt. Hon. Bassey, Elder Esset and Dr Etim, who were accompanied by their campaign Director Generals, received endorsements for landslide victory in the 2023 elections from the stakeholders including political leaders, youths and women that thronged the Wards to receive the team.


Members of the team included the Chairman of Uruan Local Government Council, Mr. Iniobong Ekpenyong; his Vice, Mrs. Uduak Akpan; the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Board of Internal Revenue, Mr. Okon Okon; former Chairman of Uruan Council, Obong Henry Udofia; the Director General of the Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, Obong Godwin Awak; the Director General of the Itoro Etim Campaign Organization, Akparawa Michael Bush; the National Coordinator of RHAB-Mega Movement, Dr Eventus Edem; the Uruan Coordinator of Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, Prince Tony Akan; Chief Augustine Effiong, and Chief Orok Orok.
