Ime Okon Inaugurates Itu/Ibiono Unity Project Campaign Council




The Itu/Ibiono Ibom Unity Project 2023 Campaign Council has been inaugurated to plan and implement campaign activities in mobilization of support for the political cause of the PDP Candidate for Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency 2023, Rt. Hon Ime Bassey Okon. 


Performing the inauguration yesterday, the PDP Candidate to represent Itu/Ibiono Ibom people in the Green Chamber, Barr. Ime Bassey Okon noted that the campaign council consists of representatives heading various units to coordinate activities of numerous members/supporters of the cause. 


"A lot of persons have been supporting my aspiration. So, the Campaign Council as inaugurated today will work with the Central Working Committee to ensure implementation of campaign plans for the success of this cause. The Council is to work for the success of the project by planning and implementing activities as campaign commences in earnest.


"It behoves on all the heads of various units to bring on board ideas and ingenuity to ensure the projected goal of the team is achieved. We have to hit the ground running in synergy with the ward coordinators who had earlier been inaugurated. “


The PDP Candidate for the Green Chamber job thanked members of the Campaign Council and all the supporters for standing firm with their decision without wavering. He charged all to put hands on deck as  campaigns commence in earnest which will inform the people's expression at the polls.


The Campaign Council has; the Chairman - Chief Isreal Utit, the Director General - Comrade Godwin Mbeke, Deputy Director General - Hon. Nsikanabasi Ukobot, Secretary - Rt. Hon. (Engr) Dominic Udoatan, Asst. Secretary - Mr. Emmanuel Abel.


Others are; Dir. of Organisation/Logistics - Mr. Mfon Ekpenyong, Deputy Dir. of Organisation/Logistics - Mr. Kokoette Inyang, Dir. of Media/Publicity - Mr. Borono Bassey, Deputy Dir. of Media/ Publicity - Enwono-Abasi Elisha, Director of Finance - Isantim Churchill Udoh. 


While, Hon. Etop Idung and Obong Godwin Awah were named Technical Advisers, Comrade Ini Ememobong and Engr Bassey Bassey Okon are to serve as Patrons to the Council, and other heads of units which space restrict mentioning. 


In his response, the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Chief Israel Utit expressed optimism of a successful outing of the team while appreciating the PDP Candidate for the confidence reposed in him and his team members.


He urged everyone in the campaign council to work together as a coordinated unit to achieve the purpose which is to sell their candidate to all the Units and Wards in Itu and Ibiono Ibom Local Government Areas, respectively.
