AKSEPWMA Advocated Synergy with Correctional Centres on Waste Management

  In a bid to strengthen waste management practices and policies  in Akwa Ibom State, the the State waste management agency (AKSEPWMA) is set to Collaborate with Correctional Centres in the State. The Chairman of the  Agency, Obong Prince Ikim,  pledged to forge a strategic partnership with the Correctional Centres, Monday, during a courtesy call to the Agency by the State Controller of Corrections, Mr Frank Okonkwo and the Assistant Controller of Corrections Mr Ezekiel Ebenezer Inyang respectively.  This synergy aims to enhance the overall waste management system, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment in all the Correctional centers in Akwa Ibom State. Asuakak Brings Succour To 15 Villages Through Electrification

The long-standing electricity blackout in some parts of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area has been rectified, as the Chairman of the Local Government, Rt. Hon. Asuakak Umoh swung into action immediately after he assumed office to reconnect  15 villages to the national grid. The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Mrs. Etiemma Umoh, today visited a widow with triplets, Mrs. Idorenyin Emmanuel Asanga, who tragically lost her husband shortly after childbirth.  During the visit, Mrs. Umoh made generous donations, including diapers, foodstuffs, and financial assistance, to support the family. Ibiono Ibom 8th Legislative Council Moves to Implement Anti-Grazing Law, Propose Security for Ongoing Hospital Project

  By Quno News Nigeria  The 8th Legislative Council of Ibiono Ibom has moved a motion to enforce the anti-grazing law, previously passed by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, within the local government area.  This move is in alignment with the ARISE agenda of Governor Umo Eno, aimed at curbing the indiscriminate grazing of cattle on farmland by herders in the community. The motion, sponsored by Hon. AKHA Passes Bill On Bureau For ICT

Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly has passed a bill for a Law to establish the Akwa Ibom State Bureau for ICT, Innovation and Emerging Technologies (AKBICT). The passage followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Science and Technology presented by its Chairman, Hon Uduak Ekpo Ufot, during plenary on Thursday. In his report, Hon. AKHA Dismisses Motion Seeking To Discourage Improper Music Content

  By Asuquo Edem  The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly yesterday Thursday during Plenary stood down a motion Seeking to discourage inappropriate music content which also promotes promiscuity. The motion which was presented before the House by the member representing Etinan State Constituency, Hon. Uduak Ekpoufot titled "Urgent need to discourage lewd and inappropriate music content and advocate for the upholding of the Christian values that are endemic to Akwa Ibom State" unusually failed to get the backing of the Speaker and members.
