In a bid to strengthen waste management practices and policies in Akwa Ibom State, the the State waste management agency (AKSEPWMA) is set to Collaborate with Correctional Centres in the State. The Chairman of the Agency, Obong Prince Ikim, pledged to forge a strategic partnership with the Correctional Centres, Monday, during a courtesy call to the Agency by the State Controller of Corrections, Mr Frank Okonkwo and the Assistant Controller of Corrections Mr Ezekiel Ebenezer Inyang respectively. This synergy aims to enhance the overall waste management system, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment in all the Correctional centers in Akwa Ibom State. Under this collaboration, AKSEPWMA will work closely with the Correctional Centres to identify areas of mutual interest and develop effective strategies for managing waste.
