IFIOK AKPABIO HOSTS CHRISTMAS MEETING WITH MBIAYA YOUTHS, SHARES GIFTS IN SPIRIT OF SEASON

 




The Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Youth Matters, Mr. Ifiok Akpabio, hosts a Christmas meeting with youths of Mbiaya Uruan in Northern Uruan Ward 1, as part of activities to celebrate the Yuletide season with the grassroots.


Speaking at the event, Mr. Akpabio expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, HE Pastor Umo Eno, for his continuous support for youths across the state through the "ARISE AGENDA" which he said has continued to positively impact communities and empower young people across the State. 


In the spirit of Christmas and community solidarity, Mr. Akpabio presented bags of rice to the youth leader of each family in attendance, alongside cash gifts, as a way of spreading love, easing economic hardship, and reinforcing the values of togetherness associated with the season. 


The family youth leaders of Mbiaya Uruan led by the Village Youth Leader, in their response, commended Mr. Ifiok Akpabio for his consistent engagement with the grassroots and described the gesture as timely and impactful, especially during the festive period.


The event attracted several notable personalities, including Lady Usoro Akpabio, Managing Director of the South South Development Commission; Rt. Hon. Anthony Akan; Mr. Akan Akpabio; Hon. Ifiok Asuquo, and other distinguished guests.


As goodwill messages, the Managing Director, South South Development Commision Lady Usoro Akpabio applauded the host and reiterated the commitment of the President HE Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the empowerment of youths through varied positive policies. She further spoke to the youths about supporting the Senate President HE Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio and HE Pst Umo Eno and his people eccentric Arise Agenda. She made the youths understand that development comes with a collective decision to support leadership. She implored the youths to be prepared for great opportunities through employment opportunities and empowerments. Rt Hon Tony Akan thanked the convener and said Mbiaya youths appreciate the President for appointing their daughter and pledged to be loyal and supportive of HE Bola Tinubu led Government.  

The Christmas meeting ended on a note of goodwill, unity, and renewed commitment by the youths to support the developmental vision of the state government under the leadership of HE Governor Umo Eno.
