Akwa Ibom Business Community Seeks Trade And Investment Slot In Gov Eno's New Exco




Moved by the desire to contribute their quota and serve as key players in actualisation of the ARISE Agenda of the State Government, Akwa Ibom Business Community has charged governor Governor Umo Eno to consider appointing one of its members as the commissioner for Trade and Investment.

 In a press conference in Uyo today Saturday,  the President General of Akwa Ubom Business Community, Mr. Lordswill Umani noted that that the group is well positioned to promote investment in alignment with the administration's ARISE Agenda serving as key players in actualisation of the goals of the administration.


The stakeholders speaking through the President General used the occasion to dismiss rumors making the rounds that Governor Umo Eno who previously served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees has neglected the business community adding that the governor has consistently kept his promises and remains committed to supporting the community.


Flanked by Adede Uduak Akpan of Afe Mkparawa Anang, Chief Daniel Chukwuma of the Urban Traders Welfare Association, Mr. Ifiok Paul of the Ibom Boutique Owners Association, Capt. Linus Ibanga of the Uyo Timber Association, Mr. Osita Nwude Patrick of the Igbo Business Forum, and Mr. Innocent Akpan of Urua Mbakara among other executive members, Umani assured the Business community that Governor Eno, is a promise keeper and values his primary constituency.

"As a community that values our leader, we must continue to pray for the governor as he guides the state in its efforts to promote private sector development.


"We commend our leader for his outstanding leadership, and as a community, we will continue to support our governor and resist any attempts by those who wish to undermine the governor's excellent performance," Umani said.


It would be recalled that the State Governo  Friday dissolved the  State Executive Council,
