Gov Eno Urges Newly Promoted Police Officers To Serve With Deligence




Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Police Force to continue in their diligent service to the country.


Speaking during the decoration ceremony of the promoted officers serving in Government House, Uyo, the Governor noted that their elevation is an indication of their commitment and dedication to duty.


He congratulated them for attaining new heights, while recalling that his father was not so fortunate, as his promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police came while he had gone to the great beyond.







The Governor, himself  son of a police officer, the late CSP Bassey Eno,  appreciated them for their service to the Akwa Ibom State government, and for serving the country with dedication and commitment.


While urging them to endeavour to be patriotic in their service, he reassured that he will continue to support the Nigeria Police Force as well as other security agencies in the State to maintain peace and security in the State.


Earlier in his remark, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, commended the Governor for creating time to honour his security aides and decorating them with their new official ranks and urged them to double their efforts in service to their fatherland.


Those decorated included 

Superintendents of Police Yesufu Umar Faruk (ADC),  Udeme Udo, Ukpong Mfonobong, and Deputy Superintendents of Police Katari John, Silas John, Usman Aliyu Turaki, Adeyemi Oluwafemi, Effiong Edem, Christopher Bassey, and Timfon John, the Force Public Relations Officer.


At the event were the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Elder Udeme Otong, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Aniekan Akpan, Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, Head of Service, Elder Effiong Essien, State Commissioners,  Deputy Commissioners of Police, Perrmanent Secretaries, and others.
