Milk Of Human Kindness: Wife Of Ibiono Chairman Visits Widow With Triplets




The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Mrs. Etiemma Umoh, today visited a widow with triplets, Mrs. Idorenyin Emmanuel Asanga, who tragically lost her husband shortly after childbirth. 

During the visit, Mrs. Umoh made generous donations, including diapers, foodstuffs, and financial assistance, to support the family.

Accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Comr. Mercy Otu, Mrs. Umoh visited the family at their residence in Ikot Udo-Obong, Ekid Itam II, Akwa Ibom State.

In her remarks, Mrs. Umoh expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery of Mrs. Asanga and her healthy triplets. She offered heartfelt prayers for divine guidance and protection as they begin this new chapter in their lives.

"I was deeply moved when I heard that an indigene of Ibiono Ibom had given birth to triplets but tragically lost her husband," Mrs. Umoh said. "In these challenging times, we felt it was important to show empathy and offer support, letting the family know that they are not alone."






Comr. Mercy Otu, the Vice Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, also expressed her sympathy and prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection for the family.

In response, Mrs. Idorenyin Asanga, the widow, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the support and love shown by Mrs. Umoh and the local government delegation. "I am truly grateful for this kindness," she said. "It has reassured me that I am not alone in this difficult journey."

Improved Working Conditions For Teachers In Rural Areas Underway As AKHA Advocates Provision Of Live-In Quarters

Secondary school teachers posted to rural areas in the State would have a sigh of relief as lawmakers of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has advocated to the State Government for the provision of live-in quarters to reduce the burden of transportation and solve issues of accomodation.  This was sequel to a report presented to the House by the Chairman House Committee on Education, Hon. Kenim Onofiok during Plenary today. Hon. Onofiok informed the House that the Committee had invited stakeholders from the Ministry including Commissioner for Education, Chairmen, State Secondary Education Board, Permanent Secretaries to discuss on the matter. The House thereafter dissolved into the Committee of the Whole where the two recommendations of the report were adopted.
