Ibiono Ibom 8th Legislative Council Moves to Implement Anti-Grazing Law, Propose Security for Ongoing Hospital Project

  By Quno News Nigeria  The 8th Legislative Council of Ibiono Ibom has moved a motion to enforce the anti-grazing law, previously passed by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, within the local government area.  This move is in alignment with the ARISE agenda of Governor Umo Eno, aimed at curbing the indiscriminate grazing of cattle on farmland by herders in the community. The motion, sponsored by Hon. Uwem Isua Okon, the representative for Ward 11, emphasized that unchecked open grazing could lead to significant economic losses for the people of Ibiono Ibom.  He warned that farmers might wake up to find their months of hard work destroyed by grazing cattle, especially as the farming season approaches with the onset of rains. AKHA Clears Air On Technical Issues At The Complex...Insist It's Unconnected To Anticipated Commissioners List

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has stated that the Technical issues presently being attended to at the Complex has absolutely nothing to do with  the House receiving the much anticipated Commissioners list from the State Governor Pastor Umo Eno. Speaking to Assembly Correspondents today, the Chairman House Services Committee, Hon. Lawrence Udoide noted that technical faults was just a coincidence which the House was presently tackling to get it sorted out. Hon. Council Chairman Fetes Pupils...Donates Uniforms, Sandals

The Executive Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Asuakak Umoh , is set to mark his 100 days in office with the commissioning of several projects beginning with the distribution of 550 school uniforms and sandals to pupils from four public primary schools in the area. The distribution, which took place on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Primary School, Nsan,  cuts across school pupils from Government School, Use Ndon, Christian Primary School, Ikot Usen, St Francis School, Atai Ibiaku and Primary School, Nsan. Gov Umo Eno Pledges Improved Welfare As He Presents Official Vehicles To Permanent Secretaries

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has presented brand new cars to all Permanent Secretaries at an event where he said his administration will continue to prioritize the welfare of civil servants. AKHA Passes Bill On Bureau For ICT

Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly has passed a bill for a Law to establish the Akwa Ibom State Bureau for ICT, Innovation and Emerging Technologies (AKBICT). The passage followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Science and Technology presented by its Chairman, Hon Uduak Ekpo Ufot, during plenary on Thursday. In his report, Hon.
