REP MARK ESSET COMMISSIONS CLASSROOM BLOCKS, WATER BOREHOLE PROJECT, AMIDST POMP...As Benefiting Communities Express Deep-Seated Gratitude To The Parliamentarian

 



It was a harvest of completed projects in Uyo Federal Constituency as the member representing Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency,  Rep. Mark Esset PhD, commissioned a cross section of projects facilitated by himself in Ibesikpo Asutan and Nsit Atai Local Government Areas.


The projects commissioned, yesterday, Monday, November 24, 2025, include a renovated dilapidated 4-classroom block at Lutheran Primary School, Ikot Akpa Oso, Asutan Ward 2, and solar powered water borehole project, in Ikot Ikan, Asutan Ward 5, both in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.






Other projects are, a constructed and furnished 6-classroom block at Migrant Secondary School, Ibakang, Eastern Nsit Ward 9, and a renovated 5-classroom block at QIC Central School, Iwok, Eastern Nsit Ward 2, both in Nsit Atai Local Government Area.


The epoch making events which drew large crowd of constituents in each of the benefiting wards, is part of activities preceding the mega empowerment programme by Rep Mark Esset for the people of Uyo Federal Constituency, which is slated to take place on Thursday, November 27, 2024.


In his remarks, the facilitator of the projects and member representing Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency, Rep Mark Esset reiterated his commitment to ensuring that he leaves a lasting legacies by providing signature projects in each of the forty two wards that constitute Uyo Federal Constituency.


The Nsit Atai born federal lawmaker, thanked the constituents profusely for their show of love and support, while promising them that he is not taking their mandate for granted, hence, he will do more to better the lives of his constituents, going forward


Esset urged the students, pupils, teachers, and community members to protect the infrastructure and other amenities provided for their area so that development can thrive and be sustained.


In his goodwill message, the Executive Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, Hon (Evang.) Edidiong Inyang applauded Rep Mark Esset for what he described as a clear demonstration of effective and responsive representation. 


Inyang noted that the people of Ibesikpo Asutan have been positively impacted by the federal lawmaker’s efforts and expressed their collective satisfaction and avowed pledge to continue to support his representation beyond 2027.


On his part, the Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai LGA, Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong expressed delight to have Rep Mark Esset as a son of Nsit Atai LGA, describing him as a worthy son in whom the entire Nsit Atai people are well pleased.


Nyong further assured the federal representative of the unflinching support of the entire constituents of Nsit Atai local government area, with a charge on all the benefiting communities to protect the projects jealousy.


Speaker after speaker took turns to pour encomium on Rep. Mark Esset's sterling representation, stating that it was indeed the first time in the history of the communities that they are witnessing such a harvest of human centered projects. 


They also commended the capacity and competence of Dr Esset whom as a first timer, has proven that government can indeed work depending on who is occupying the representation seat. 


The separate events which were filled with pomp, were well attended by political leaders, stakeholders, Royal Fathers, pupils, students and residents from across Ibesikpo Asutan and Nsit Atai Local Government Areas, who gathered to celebrate the impactful educational advancement projects and rural development through provision of solar powered borehole water.
