Frank Archibong Tasks Staff On Renewed Zeal, Teamwork, Commitment To Service ... As Staff Jubiliates over his return to the Ministry




Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Mr. Frank Archibong,  has charged Staffers of the Ministry to inculcate positive attitude  to work through renewed zeal, teamwork and commitment to service delivery for greater productivity  inline with the ARISE Agenda of the  State Governor , Pastor Umo Eno.


Speaking during the weekly Solemn Assembly at the Ministry's arena upon resumption to duty,,  Archibong appreciated God for keeping everyone  alive and sound, saying his coming back to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Ministry  was a privilege by God and the instrumentality of ll Governor Umo Eno, stressing  that it  was  a call for greater service .


"This is a new government with a new direction to rise to the responsibility before us. Our target is success and teamwork is what we need to succeed.


"Pastor Umo Eno needs progress. He is passionate about governance and ready to deliver on his ARISE Agenda; and we must do everything humanly possible to encourage him and make him succeed", Archibong stated.


Speaking further, the Commissioner, added that the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in partnership with the traditional institution and Local Government Councils have  pivotal roles to play in the marketing of the Arise Agenda and called for the buy-in of all.


He cautioned against negative report aimed at demeaning staff of the Ministry, while promising to institute reward system where hardwork will be rewarded citing the Bible book of Ecclesiastes chapter 4 vs 9; while also harping on punctuality and being one's brother's keeper.


Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Elder Ini Ikie, while congratulating the Commissioner on his reappointment and subsequent redeployment , expressed the  delight all Staff to have him back, saying the Commissioner's return is God's doing and a reward for hard work.


 The Permanent Secretary described Hon Archibong as Gentleman with great passion for excellence  who can put in all his time, energy,commitment and all to achieve positive results.         He prayed God to grant the Commissioner the needed wisdom for greater exploits, adding that Staff and the traditional rulers are in for better days, while assuring of stronger synergy and support.


Meanwhile,the Commissioner,Frank Archibong on resumption to duty held Management meeting with the Permanent Secretary and Directors where he charted a new course towards the actualization of the goals of the Arise Agenda.


The Commissioner also inspected offices and other facilities within the Ministry.
