2019 Polls: Plans to Arrest Onofiok , Harass Supporters Uncovered

It has been authoritatively gathered that the Anti-Robbery unit of the Akwa Ibom state police command led by Idorenyin Akpabio today met with the Etinan Federal Constituency candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Dan Akpan, to perfect plans to arrest Hon. Onofiok Luke before election, and harass his supporters.
The officer in charge of the unit, Idorenyin Akpabio, is cousin to Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Idorenyin Akpabio was recently posted to Akwa Ibom state and immediately deployed to the police anti-robbery unit (SARS) where he has reportedly been used to harass perceived opposition politicians in the state.

Igbere TV can authoritatively report that negotiations are ongoing to fund and heavily arm the SARS structure led by Idorenyin Akpabio with the sole purpose of pinning down Onofiok Luke few days to election on frivolous charges. At the meeting today, it was resolved that supporters of Onofiok Luke who is also the speaker of the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, be targeted, beaten up, intimidated and scared away from their strongholds in Etinan Federal Constituency where Onofiok is contesting the election in the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.
Onofiok has been one of the most vocal critics of Sen. Akpabio. He was reportedly wooed to the APC by Sen. Akpabio last August but he turned down the offer insisting to “maintain his integrity and not sell out Akwa Ibom people”, our source said.
Also, there were recent alleged sinister moves by a special police unit in the state to plant arms around the outspoken lawmaker and have him arrested and charged on grounds of terrorism and other frivolous charges.
Attempts to reach the Idorenyin Akpabio on his 08033861810‬ line was abortive.
Competent sources have hinted that Sen. Akpabio has vowed to ensure that Onofiok Luke and Obong Bassey Albert do not succeed in their elections to the House of Reps and Senate respectively. The duo are from Uyo senatorial district and have since vehemently vowed to support the return to office of Governor Udom Emmanuel of the PDP against Nsima Ekere, the handpicked APC candidate of Senator Akpabio.
