2019 Presidential Polls: Atiku's Wife Lands A'Ibom(Pics)

Wife of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, Mrs Jennifer Atiku Abubakar has arrived Akwa Ibom State for the Women's rally taking place at Ibom Hall grounds. On arrival at the Victor Attah International Airport, she was received by the wife of Akwa Ibom State governor, Mrs Martha Udom in company of the deputy governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo and the SSG, Mr Emmanuel Ekuwem.

As part of her visit to the state, she is a billed to interact with a cross section of Akwa Ibom women at the Governor's office Annex.

AKHA Defers Giving Resolution To Extend Transition Committees..mandates Committee to verify performance of councils

By Asuquo Edem Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today put off giving the governor a resolution to extend the stay of Transition Committees across the State. The State governor who communicated his request for the House Resolution dated 6th May 2024 drawing strength from Section 5 sub 2 of the Local Government Administration Law pleaded with the lawmakers to heed to giving the resolution to extend the tenure of Transition Councils as the Commission responsible for conducting elections require an extended time frame. Akwa Ibom State has been thrown into deep mourning and grief as the wife of the State governor has passed away.
